Snow Day

We returned to Lawrence in mid-January for a mini-vacation only to find the snow from three weeks before still there. We had lots of fun sledding on some bigger hills this time and even the big people got involved this time.

Cedar Waxwings

Every January I look forward to the return of a large flock of Cedar Waxwings. They come to eat all the holly berries off my tree. They are stunning and peaceful and so enjoyable. Now my January is complete!

Baby Juliette

This past week I was asked to take photos for my good friend, Grace. She just had a baby and needed some newborn photos. How fun! It was even more fun because little Juliette was awake almost the whole time. She was born at 36 weeks and was a whole 4.5 lbs. So darn cute!

December in a nutshell

Christmas day we awoke to a WHITE CHRISTMAS! This is what our white Christmas looked like in North Texas.

We took a road trip out to the country to get photos of this spectacular site. It was amazing! The snow was Kozmo's favorite Christmas present. What more could a furry guy ask for? Brett was my Christmas helper this year and we took full advantage of our time off to make holiday goodies for our friends and family (and some for ourselves too). On Christmas day we picked the fruits of our labor. After another year of babying our lemon tree it gave us these gifts. We got them off the tree just before the freeze.
