catch up

Here are some photos from the past few months to catch you up on our craziness. Yes, we are still here.
Brett has enjoyed 5 seasons of soccer and looking forward to another in the Spring. This is Dot. Here she is about 3 months. Getting bigger everyday. This fall we discovered Lake Murray in Oklahoma. Took the jetskis and a tent and had a great time. This is Brett's Halloween costume. He was an accident victim.

Farmer's Market

We are making the most of living where we do and the local farmer's market. This past Sunday we got 10 ct. shrimp from the gulf and some red snapper. The vendor said it is the first that she has sold in the past three months due to the oil spill. I am happy they are starting to turn things around again. Here are some photos of tonights lovely meal.

Why I miss Lawrence

because you drive through town and you see signs like this. I don't see that in Flower Mound. No way!
because the last week of every July you are doing this. It always makes you appreciate a/c.
beacause you can get some of the best food at insane prices. You see here we are already training Brett on how to survive when he leaves for KU.

First Swim Party

This past weekend we had oodles of company. Company calls for a pool party. Here are some winning photos from our fun weekend. You can tell it was a bit on the cool side, but we didn't care. This is my cousin's baby, Chloe. This is the other sweetie, Mya. She LOVED the pool (despite the face).

Pond Visitors

We have had some amazing animal life at our pond over the past few years. Today we had a pair of mallards. The photo of the owl was taken in the light of our Christmas lights a couple of years ago.

The Season for Blue Bonnets

Today I made it out to shoot some blue bonnets. The site had been suggested by my friend, Kelli. It was amazing. This was a beautiful field on the way home. I almost liked it more than the blue bonnets.
